Visas and work permits:

British nationals and nationals of other EEC countries do not require a visa to visit Guyana, just a passport valid for six months and a return ticket. Since no doctors are trained in Guyana, they have to accept those from a recognized medical school outside. Contact the Guyana Medical Board. As regards work permits, contact the Guyana High Commission (www.guyana.org)
