As a British citizen, no visa is required if you are staying less than 90 days and your passport is valid for six months from the time of entry. To work you also need to register with the Colegio de Médicas y Cirujanos de Guatemala, 17 Calle 1–61, Zona 1, Guatemala.

There are three universities teaching medicine in Guatemala.

A RURAL HOSPITAL:

Hospital de Jacal Tenango, Jacaltenango, Huehuetenango, Guatemala. The hospital: Jacaltenango is a rural town in the Chucumantes mountains. It is a very beautiful area. The hospital is a 50-bed mission hospital run by Mexican nuns.
