Working
Holiday Visas:
If
aged between 18 and 30 you may well be elegible for a working
holiday visa (417) which means you can work for three months (for a single
emplyoer) and stay in Australia for a total of a year.
You can apply on line at: www.immi.gov.au
- make sure your destination is happy to emply you on a working holiday
visa.
Longer
Term Work:
Doctors: For work up to a year you will need a medical practioners visa

Nurses
and Other health professionals: Usually
a temporary residence visa can be obtained, but it depends on how much your
services are needed. Sometime a Specialist (414) visa is more
appropriate.
Immigration:
WARNING – you are entering a minefield! Unless you want to work in

affiliated clinical school (not the university as used to be the case) For
example, the Northern Clinical School is affiliated with Hornsby
Hospital, Manly Hospital, Mona Vale Hospital, Royal North Shore
Hospital, Royal Rehabilitation Centre Sydney, Ryde Hospital and
The Tweed Hospital - they will only accept elective applications
made through the clinical school.
